Florida State football, recruiting news: Where does FSU go from here?

Four-star junior college offensive lineman Desmond Bland is one of the nation’s top JUCO OL prospects and his commitment to Nebraska isn’t keeping him from officially visiting Florida State.

Arizona Western College four-star offensive guard Desmond Bland has informed Noles247 that he will take an official visit to Florida State on Dec. 7. The 6-foot-4, 285-pound big man is currently committed to Nebraska.

Bland is on pace to graduate in December and enroll in school in January. He has two years to play two and will sign during the early signing period. Bland says he does not have any other visits scheduled besides FSU.

Two of FSU’s best commitments, Four-star QB Sam Howell & four-star DB Travis Jay had state playoff games this weekend.

Sam Howell and Sun Valley were knocked out of the playoffs, 22-14. Howell had 60 yards passing with one touchdown pass and 161 yards rushing with one touchdown run.

Travis Jay and Madison County won 49-14 over Chiefland. Jay had 82 yards passing with one touchdown pass. 105 yards rushing with one touchdown run. One pass break up and one forced fumble.

Sources have informed Tomahawknation that Sam Howell will be early enrolling at Florida State.

Willie Taggart’s teams overall aren’t as undisciplined as 2018 FSU was.
