Museum Day: Get yourself some free culture

More than 1,600 museums nationwide will be opening their doors for free on Saturday in honor of Museum Day. The annual event, organized by Smithsonian Magazine, encourages museums, galleries and historic sites to allow free entry just as the Smithsonian Institution’s Washington, D.C.-based facilities do year-round. To get a free entry, visit smithsonian.com/museumday. Once you find a museum you want to visit, click the "Get a Ticket" button, enter your name and email, and download the branded ticket. There are options in each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia.

UN General Assembly: Trump, foreign leaders head out on road trip

The United Nations General Assembly kicked off earlier this week, as leaders from around the world gathered in New York. President Donald Trump will be on the road Sunday with two foreign leaders. Trump is scheduled to visit Houston with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and he will visit Ohio with Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison after he greeted the Aussies with a formal state dinner — only the second of Trump’s presidency.

71st Emmy Awards: Will 'Game of Thrones' go out with a bang?

Fox will air the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday (8 ET/5 PT) and while TV's biggest night usually provides big surprises and jolts of joy, we know the show likely will deliver a heavy dose of two beloved HBO series that ended in 2019: "Game of Thrones" and "Veep." "Thrones" is nominated for a whopping 32 awards, including best drama series, which it has won the last three times it was nominated (2015, 2016 and 2018). "Veep" last won the best comedy series award in 2017. It will take on 2018 winner Amazon's "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" in the category this year. "Veep" star Julia Louis-Dreyfus will seek to go six-for-six in best actress Emmy wins for her role as politician Selina Meyer. But she faces stiff competition in "Mrs. Maisel" star Rachel Brosnahan. Also worth noting: Fox said the show won't have a host so more time can be spent honoring series that have concluded or will soon enter their final season.

First. Time. Ever: Notre Dame visits Georgia Bulldogs

The longest-tenured coach at the University of Georgia is a great person to judge how big a deal it is that Notre Dame's football team is coming to Athens for the first time. “Very seldom have I seen a buzz like this,” said swim coach Jack Bauerle. His memory of gridiron battles there stretches back to his enrollment in 1970. "Maybe 1976 was something like this when Alabama came in and they were undefeated and the town didn’t sleep on Friday or Saturday night." Home favorites the No. 3 Bulldogs take on the No. 7 Fighting Irish on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.

Happy birthday, 'Friends'!

What about your friends? Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe and Joey are still there for us. NBC’s classic hangout sitcom, "Friends," turns 25 years old Sunday. The series ended in 2004, but it never really left TV, fans' hearts or pop culture. Where would we be without "Pivot" memes? Nostalgia drives the love for “Friends” for many, but the series is also massively popular among young millennials and Generation Z.
