LONDON, England (CNN) —  **Update: Prince Philip was hospitalized on Monday, just hours before the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee concert. According to a statement from the palace, the prince has a bladder infection and will be hospitalized for observation for a few days.**

As Buckingham Palace gets ready to host a star-studded Diamond Jubilee Concert Monday, with some of the biggest names in music performing, we present a gallery of the queen meeting some of pop’s biggest names.

The queen and Duke of Edinburgh are keen fans of pop music, attending Royal Variety Performances at a different UK theater on alternate years.

Most of the artists appearing at the Jubilee concert have performed for or met Her Majesty at one time during their career.

The big name acts include Sir Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Dame Shirley Bassey and Sir Elton John as well as Will.i.am. Sir Tom Jones, Jessie J and Annie Lennox.

The Jubilee concert is being organized by Take That singer Gary Barlow, and will showcase the best of pop, rock, classical and musical theater from each decade of the monarch’s 60-year reign.

Ten thousand tickets have been given away through a public ballot for the event. Millions more will be able to watch the concert on British television.

Barlow said on Twitter Monday that he was excited about the event and paid tribute to McCartney, who he called a “total legend,” saying his rehearsal set made him “feel like a complete beginner.”

Barlow has also co-written a special song with composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, sung by 200 people from around the Commonwealth. Called “Sing,” the special Jubilee song also features Prince Harry playing tambourine on the track.
