Think Loud building welcomes new occupant that brings more than 100 jobs to downtown York

The Think Loud building in York has a new occupant that brings more than 100 jobs with it.

York County Economic Alliance and financial technology company CampusDoor announced Tuesday the relocation of CampusDoor’s national headquarters from Carlisle to downtown York. CampusDoor is one of the nation’s largest third-party loan origination platforms and has over 100 full time employees, according to a press release.

“This is a very exciting time for CampusDoor,” CampusDoor CEO Steve Winnie said. “As we looked around at communities for our company’s headquarters, Downtown York is a perfect fit. We’ve already developed a strong relationship with partners such as York College of PA, and the YCEA, and we look forward to making a meaningful impact here.”

CampusDoor will occupy over 25,000 square feet of office space at 210 York St., located adjacent to PeoplesBank Park. To formally introduce itself to the York community, CampusDoor will make charitable contributions of $1,000 each to the York County Hispanic Coalition, the York College Community Opportunity Scholarship Program and the United Way of York County.

“Economic opportunity is integral to our company’s core values, and that depends on a quality education for all. When we empower our friends and neighbors, everyone benefits. These three organizations were selected because of their commitment to education and the valuable services and support they provide,” Winnie said.

“We are ecstatic to welcome CampusDoor to the York community,” president & CEO of the YCEA Kevin Schreiber said. “We have spent this past year working closely with Steve Winnie and his team to find the right home for their company. During that time, we witnessed first-hand they’ve made themselves quickly at home here in York. They are a welcomed addition to YoCo’s corporate community and we could not be more enthusiastic to join them in celebrating this exciting announcement.”

It’s unclear if the building still serves as the headquarters of United Fiber & Data, a telecommunications startup that’s connected to members of the multi-platinum-selling rock band Live. The business built a 340-mile fiber-optic line connecting New York City to Ashburn, Virginia, in the suburbs of Washington, D.C.

In 2020, Kinsley Construction obtained a $13.94 million judgment against 120 York LLC , which used to own the building. The limited liability filed for bankruptcy but later moved to dismiss the case.

Kinsley sold the building in November for $6 million to Invictus One LLC, a newly-incorporated Delaware company.
