GRAHAM, WA - Thieves stole a disabled father's custom bike from his front yard in Graham sometime between last Thursday and Friday. The family is pleading with the public to get it back.

For Nathan Mann, it was more than way to get around. The custom-made black and green “Sport-On Explorer III” bike gave him independence until someone snatched it from his carport.

"Initially it was shock just traumatic shock,” said Mann. “Just disgusted.”

Two years ago, Nathan hurt his back in a mountain bike accident. He's now paralyzed from the waist down.

"It was freedom," said Mann, “To sum it up in one word that bike was freedom to me and it meant freedom for my whole family because my whole family suffers from me being in the wheelchair."

He and his kids bonded over bike rides and they know how much it meant.

"Upsetting and sad that someone would come into our yard and take something that doesn't belong to them,” said daughter Luna Mann.

It's especially upsetting after Mann took out a loan and saved up to buy the $14,000 bike. He just wants to get back.

"This is my entire world,” said Mann, “You don’t even know what you stole.”

Crimetoppers of Tacoma/Pierce County is offering a $1,000 reward for anyone with information that leads to an arrest.

The community is also rallying to help the family raise money for a new bike through a GoFundME fundraiser.
