If a charter fishing trip is within your budget, they make great gifts for the angler on your Christmas list.

Right off the Gulf of Mexico, Corpus Christi makes a perfect spot for fishing, ranking as a top fishing location in the nation.

According to a recent survey by FishingBooker, an online fishing community, Corpus Christi is the place to go.

"Small towns and remote waters have that 'untouched' charm we all love, but there’s never much to do once the trip is over," an article on the ranking states. "Head to any one of these cities, though, and you’ll find awesome angling right alongside an amazing city break. Each city has its own special something."

The Corpus Christi Marina has one of the best views of the water, the boats and downtown.

The fishing community picked the 12 cities they thought were the best fishing cities to visit in 2019. Dallas was the only other Texas city to make the list.

"You can’t talk about fishing in the U.S. without tipping your hat to the Gulf of Mexico. Back bays, grass flats, reefs, and the blue water — there’s something for everyone. Corpus Christi is a prime example of this," it states.

Corpus Christi is also described as a perfect vacationing spot with beaches and tourists attractions like the Lexington Museum on the Bay and the Texas State Aquarium.
