Gunman Holds Up Travel Agency In Broad Daylight

A gunman robbed a travel agency in Miami Beach.

MIAMI BEACH, FL β€” Miami Beach police are asking for the public's help in finding a gun-wielding robber who held up a travel agency in broad daylight. The incident happened shortly before 2 p.m. on Sept. 7 at Finest Vacations, Inc., 6638 Collins Ave.

Ernesto Rodriguez of the Miami Beach Police Department said that the gunman entered the business and demanded cash.

"He then fled the scene with a shirt over his face, sunglasses and $2,023," according to Rodriguez. "He entered a 2018/19 White GMC Acadia that was waiting in the alley nearby."

Miami Beach police believe that a stolen license tag was placed on the vehicle's real tag to prevent police from tracing the getaway car back to its owner.
