It’s another dose of harsh reality for “Duck Dynasty” fans.

The hit A&E series star Jep Robertson, 37, has revealed a shocking confession: he was sexually abused as a child.

In a book he has written with his wife Jessica Robertson, “The Good, The Bad, and the Grace of God: What Honesty and Pain Taught Us About Faith, Family, and Forgiveness,” the youngest of the “Duck Dynasty” crew reveals that at age 6 the abuse began on a school bus, according to passage of the book revealed by ET.

“An older girl started sitting next to me,” he writes. “She seemed sweet at first. She’d come sit beside me, like a motherly figure almost. I remember her being sweet and taking care of me. I liked to sit in the back so she’d come sit with me.”

After a while the girl started doing strange things.” The revealed passage continues. “She’d take my hands and push them up under her shirt and tell me I was tickling her. Then she started making me pull down my pants. It was awkward. I didn’t know what was going on, but I knew something wasn’t right.”

Although the reality TV star admits that the incident made him embarrassed, he does believe that it helped him when it came explaining right from wrong to his three daughters and son.

“I know it sounds weird but it’s helped me now that I have a bunch of girls,” Robertson shared with ET. “I think it helps us really communicate with them on what’s right and what’s wrong — where you should be touched or not be touched. It’s a tough thing to go through, but you just kind of live and go through it and make the most of it.”

The Duggars, another reality TV show family, have made headlines the past couple of weeks after a report surfaced revealing that the eldest son, Josh Duggar, molested five underage girls including four of his sisters.

The incident might not be exactly the same, but Robertson offered out some advice to the stars of “19 Kids and Counting.”

“I think we as a family just stuck together and prayed a lot,” Robertson said, clarifying that he doesn’t know the Duggars or “really know what’s in (Josh’s) heart.”

“At some point I think you got to get a tough skin and no matter what anybody says about you, you just got to be like, ‘We’re just going to keep doing what we do,'” he added.
