Boston Demonstrators, Some Rowdy, Appear In Court

Eighteen people arrested Saturday showed up in court Tuesday.

BOSTON, MA — Eighteen arrested during Saturday's rally and demonstrations appeared in court Tuesday, the Suffolk County DA's Office said.

Fifteen of those people were allegedly part of a group that assaulted police with hands, bottles filled with various liquids, traffic cones, and other items during an attempt to clear an area at Boylston and Tremont streets.

The DA's office said five of the 15 moved to continue their arraignments until Nov. 8, which prosecutors agreed to. The other 10 were arraigned, released on personal recognizance, and ordered to return to court Nov. 13.
