Linda Plank (left), president of the Business Cares Foundation, presents a $1,000 donation to Debbie Goetz, president of the board of directors of the Ted Lindeman Outreach Foundation. Business Cares, which is supported by members of the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce and other business owners, seeks to improve the quality of life for people in the community. The donation will help the Ted Lindeman Outreach Foundation continue its mission to provide financial and emotional support to Bucks and Montgomery County families that have lost a parent and are raising children under age 18.
  • Advantage Auto Sales & Credit awarded a movie gift card and a $100 Washington House gift certificate to customer Steve Hein as part of its “Dinner and a Movie” Valentine’s Day contest. Two runners-up received chocolates. The contest was open to customers of the used car dealer, which has locations in Telford and Emmaus.
  • Giant Food Stores and its sister company, Martin's Food Markets, donated more than $25.3 million in cash and products during 2012 as part of their "Living Here, Giving Here" program. The donations went to 100 local hunger relief organizations, eight Children’s Miracle Network hospitals, more than 2,500 schools, 40 United Way agencies, several local USO chapters, the Wounded Warrior Project and hundreds of other local nonprofit groups.
