Alex Reid’s winner moves Solihull closer to safety

Solihull moved to within two points of safety as they made it six home league games unbeaten with a hard-fought 3-2 win over Dover.
The home side started brightly, but it was Dover who went in front in the 22nd minute when Ryan Bird scored from the penalty spot after Anthony Jeffrey had been bundled over by Kyle Storer.
Storer made amends with an equaliser seven minutes later, firing home a loose ball, and Adi Yussuf should have done better with another chance shortly afterwards.
Jamey Osborne came close to a second for Moors just before the break, but it was Dover who went ahead on the hour when Mitch Pinnock took advantage of a mix-up in the Solihull defence to slot home.
Solihull hauled themselves level for a second time from the penalty spot after Manny Parry had brought down Thomas, who fired home from the spot.
Darren Carter was denied twice before Moors did snatch victory through Alex Reid’s close-range finish with six minutes remaining.
