A 66-year-old Fridley man and his passenger were taken by ambulance to St. Joseph's Hospital in Park Rapids after a two-car collision Friday afternoon, June 8.

According to reports by the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2014 Honda Accord operated by Steven Hoyt Bolton, of Nevis, stopped in the eastbound lane of County Highway 34 at the County Highway 80 intersection in Hubbard County. A 1979 Ford F-150 driven by Charles George Haussler, 66, of Fridley, was traveling east on County Highway 34 and failed to stop for the Accord.

The collision caused the Accord to spin counter clockwise, coming to a rest in the westbound lane of County Highway 34. The F-150 went off road to the right, rolled and came to a rest on it roof, pinning the driver.

Both the driver and passenger of the F-150 were transported by North Memorial Ambulance to St. Joseph's Hospital in Park Rapids with non-life threatening injuries. The operator of the Accord was not injured.
