Farmington Netters In Top 5 of First Girls Volleyball Poll

FARMINGTON, CT — A gigantic victory Monday over two-time defending Class L champion RHAM propelled Southington High School into the top spot in the season's first girls volleyball coaches poll.

The Lady Knights received 10 first-place votes to lead the balloting. Seven other schools were named first on voters' ballots: RHAM (6), Woodstock Academy (5), Cheshire (2), and Farmington, Ridgefield, Seymour and Westhill (1 apiece).

Farmington, which won five straight matches to open the season, placed fourth in the balloting.

Here are the top 10, plus all other schools receiving votes.
