The bats came alive in the season finale for the Wichita State Shockers, as they claimed the three-game series with Memphis, winning 13-6.

The Shockers collected 20 hits, highlighted by a seven run sixth inning.

Gunnar Troutwine hit a two-run double.

Later in the inning, Noah Croft sent a shot over the left field wall, a two-run home run.

The big sixth inning stretched the Shockers lead to 13-3.

The Tigers answered in the bottom of the sixth with three runs of their own, but couldn’t garner anymore offense after that.

Wichita State will be back in action on May 23rd as the seventh seed in the American Athletic Conference Championship in Clearwater, Fla. 

They will play two seed USF at 11 a.m. EST.
