Gov.-elect Sisolak announces inaugural galas in Las Vegas, Reno

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Gov.-elect Steve Sisolak has announced inaugural galas that will be held next month in Las Vegas and Reno following his swearing in to office.

Sisolak, a Democrat, was elected in November as Nevada's next governor. He is scheduled to be sworn in Monday, Jan. 7, on the steps of the Nevada Capitol in Carson City.

He would then deliver his first State of the State address to the legislature on Jan. 16.

The first inaugural gala is scheduled for later that week, on Friday, Jan. 18, at the Aria Resort and Casino, according to his inauguration website.

The second will be held in Reno on Thursday, Jan. 24, at the Grand Sierra Resort.
