GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Food truck lovers have a new spot to grab a bite to eat.

Street Eats GR, a food truck court with a full-service bar, is now open at a parking lot adjacent to Zoko822, a tapas restaurant specializing in gin cocktails at 822 Ottawa Ave. NW.

Created by CDKI Dining, the restaurant group that owns Zoko822, Street Eats GR features a rotating lineup of three to four food trucks during lunch and dinner. The concept is open on Friday and Saturday this week, with the schedule expanding to Wednesday through Saturday next week.

“It was an unbelievable turnout, not only from our Grand Rapidians but also from our food truck vendors,” Geoff Gaskin, the president of CDKI Dining, said of the food truck court’s opening last weekend.

The concept also features a bar, known as Gintonica, that was built in a renovated shipping container.

Gaskin said he plans to have live music on site during the weekend.

The concept will be open between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. for lunch and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. or 9 p.m. on weekends, he said. Street Eats GR will provide a daily list of its food trucks on its Facebook page and Instagram account, Gaskin said.

CDKI Dining also owns MeXo in Grand Rapids and Sandy Point Beach House in West Olive.
