Alaska State Troopers say a Hydaburg man attempted to sexually exploit another person through a practice described as “sextortion.”

According to the AST daily dispatch log, 32-year-old Eric Adams was indicted by a Grand Jury on Thursday. Investigators say Adams threatened to expose confidential information of another person, “by obtaining items of a sexual nature.” AST wrote the investigation began in April of 2017.

Troopers said Adams was arrested Saturday afternoon at his home. He was taken to the Craig Jail Facility. Adams was held in lieu of a $1,000 bail.
