Nearly a year after the cast showed up for a nostalgic evening at the Bowery Ballroom, the stars of The Adventures of Pete & Pete have skipped into our adolescent hearts again with this nice little Funny or Die short depicting our heroes boozing before a reunion in San Francisco. Things get heated when Big Pete (Michael Maronna) suggests that the other actors haven't turned out as "normal" as he has.

The skit was written by the show's creators, Will McRobb and Chris Viscardi—while we appreciate the "messed up child actor" gags and Little Pete's (Danny Tamberelli) prison-grade Petunia, the (unscripted?) exchange between Paul Tompkins and line cook Artie (Toby Huss) is worth the click alone. Huss explained at last year's NYC reunion why he left the show after only two seasons: "I was living a normal filthy dirty 28-year-old life on the Lower East Side, [and then I started] putting on tight clothes and acting with children. It was just too weird."

But was Mister Tastee just an extra in a hat? IMDB doesn't list an actor for the lactose-laden peacemaker, but here's a video of an artist constructing his hat.

And remember when Artie left the show? Yeah, we needed an extra Mondo Cooler to get over this one.
