Patsye K. HurleyDec. 25, 1926~July 15, 2019Born Patsye June Kirk in Jonesboro, Ark. to a Disciples of Christ minister and a Sears Roebuck catalog model, she graduated from Oklahoma College for Women with a degree in Speech Pathology before attending Northwestern University.Her first teaching job was in McAllen, Texas. She later worked as a Speech Pathologist and teacher in Pueblo and Sterling, before moving to Greeley in 1982.She founded a prayer ministry, Intercession Light, before she retired.A stylish and witty lover of all the arts, she will be remembered as a wonderful friend and a wise spiritual counselor.Barack Obama’s election was one of the highlights of her life.Patsye is survived by her son, Kirk Conner; and daughter, Kathy Conner.Memorial service at 10 a.m., July 27, 2019, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 1800 21st Ave., Greeley.
