Superstar musicians Ed Sheeran and Mick Jagger grabbed lunch together when their tours crossed paths in Ireland.

The pair had lunch together in Dublin on Thursday before The Rolling Stones gave the crowd in Croke Park some Satisfaction.

Sheeran joined The Rolling Stones in 2015 on their Zip Code tour in America.

"They're both great net workers who love music and enjoy talking about life in the business," a source told The Sun.

"So when they realised their tours were crossing over in Ireland, they decided to get together for lunch, picking somewhere very posh but very private to do it out of the way given they are two of the world's most recognisable stars."

"Ed admires Mick enormously for all he's achieved over a lifetime in music. He was keen to take his advice on board and listen to his experience," the source added.

The ginger musician plays another two shows in Phoenix Park, Dublin this week to wrap up his nine-date Irish tour.

After complaints to promoters Aiken about Wednesday night's overcrowded show, they have put extra measures in place for the other shows.

This includes a one-way system that will help with long queues and overcrowding.
