Oklahoma Scene: UCO powers past Lindenwood

Tyrone Howell caught five passes for 152 yards and two touchdowns as Central Oklahoma beat Lindenwood 52-42 on Saturday night in St. Charles, Missouri.

UCO quarterback Keats Calhoon was 14-of-16 passing for 213 yards and three touchdowns before an injury sidelined him for the rest of the game. Chandler Garrett filled in for Calhoon, and threw for 105 yards and two touchdowns.

Southern beats Langston in weather-shortened game

John Lampley threw for three touchdowns to help Southern of the Football Championship Subdivision beat NAIA Langston 33-18 in a weather-shortened game in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

After a second delay due to lightning in the area, officials from both schools agreed to end the game with just more than a minute left in the third quarter.

ECU edges Arkansas-Monticello

Rayjohn Austin-Ramsey threw for 184 yards and two touchdowns to help East Central defeat Arkansas-Monticello 29-27 in Ada.

Austin-Ramsey was sacked five times and ECU finished with minus-44 rushing yards, but ECU's defense forced six turnovers.

Southern Arkansas tops SWOSU

Southern Arkansas outscored Southwestern Oklahoma State by 27 points in the second half to earn a 36-12 victory in Weatherford.

Karonce Higgins had a big game for Southern Arkansas, finishing with 13 catches for 237 yards and two touchdowns.

NWOSU rallies past Henderson State

Isaiah Weed threw for 298 yards and two touchdowns as Northwestern Oklahoma State beat Henderson State 30-24 in Alva.

Trailing 24-17 in the fourth quarter, Weed tossed a 57-yard touchdown pass to Myles Mitchusson to tie the game. NWOSU took the lead on a 1-yard touchdown run by Jalen Williams.

Pittsburg State routs NSU

Pittsburg State finished with 285 rushing yards on 52 attempts in a dominant 45-7 win over Northeastern State in Tahlequah.

Tyler Adkins led Pittsburg State with 17 carries for 125 yards and a touchdown.

SOSU falls to Ouachita Baptist

Ouachita Baptist scored 18 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to defeat Southeastern Oklahoma State 32-16 in Durant.

Ouachita Baptist had 275 rushing yards, and held SOSU's ground game to just 71 yards on 35 attempts.

Panhandle State wins with game-winning field goal

Eduardo Villarreal made a 20-yard field goal on the final play of the game to give Panhandle State a 38-35 win over Ottawa University Arizona in Surprise, Arizona.

John Polston threw one touchdown and had a pair of rushing scores for Panhandle State.

NEO defeats Trinity Valley CC

Darran Williams ran for 125 yards and a touchdown, and Carl Garmon had 11 carries for 111 yards and a score as Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College topped Trinity Valley Community College 34-27 in Miami, Oklahoma.

OSU women's soccer beats UMKC

Oklahoma State women's soccer defeated the University of Missouri-Kansas City 2-1 on Sunday at Durwood Soccer Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

Former Norman North standout Haley Woodard and Grace Yochum each scored for OSU (8-1), which extended its winning streak to five games.

Sooners help Team USA win international title

Three current and former Oklahoma men's gymnasts helped Team USA win the team title at the Pan American Gymnastics Championships Sunday in Lima, Peru.

Team USA had a final score of 246.000 to beat Colombia (243.999) and Brazil (243.301) in the international competition. With the victory, Team USA qualifies for next summer's Pan American Games, also to be held in Lima.

OU senior Genki Suzuki placed fourth in the all-around competition, while OU alum Kanji Oyama claimed four top-15 event finishes. Freshman Spencer Goodell competed in two events, tallying an 11.533 on high bar and 13.433 on vault.
