Randallstown Easter Shooting Sparked By Business Dispute: Police

The gunman in a triple shooting in Randallstown was motivated by a business dispute, according to police.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Authorities say a man has been charged with attempted murder, among other offenses, in the triple shooting that occurred in Randallstown on Easter Sunday. The alleged gunman knew one of his victims and had a prior business dispute with him, according to police.

Devron Paul Goodwyn, 23, of the 3800 block of Coronado Road in Windsor Mill, has been charged with three counts of attempted first-degree murder, three counts of first-degree assault, three counts of second-degree assault and using a firearm in a felony crime.

At 5:45 p.m. on Sunday, police said Goodwyn drove up an apartment complex in the unit block of Cinnamon Circle, where a man and woman were outside with children playing.

Goodwyn is accused of shooting from the vehicle, then getting out and continuing to fire when the family took cover in an apartment.

The 24-year-old man, his 5-year-old son and his 21-year-old girlfriend were all shot, according to police, who said they all were expected to survive.

Police said Goodwyn drove away. He was arrested Tuesday and his being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center without bail.
