In Greenville, some children may have the chance to go to an ECU football game for the first time this weekend.

Greenville city council member Will Bell is encouraging everyone with unused tickets to donate them to a child less fortunate.

Bell says he posted the message out of Facebook when he heard of some people not attending the game this weekend.

So far, they have collected over a dozen donated tickets and several parking passes.

“It is exciting to see as many people get excited about it,” Bell said. “It’s just awesome to have a positive impact on some youth and also accomplish a goal of packing Dowdy-Ficklen for a top ten team in the country to come to town and hopefully get an upset.”

They are collecting tickets at 610 S. Elm Street in Greenville.
