EW's editorial guidelines Published on September 6, 2011 06:44PM EDT Photo: Donna Svennevik/ABC Promising news for fans of One Life to Live: It was just announced that Erika Slezak (Victoria Lord), along with Ted King (Tomas Delgado), Michael Easton (John McBain) and Kassie DePaiva (Blair Cramer) have agreed to continue with the soap once it goes off ABC and begins to run online, instead. This is the first announcement about casting for One Life to Life since the soap was acquired by Prospect Park, a media and production company founded in 2009 by Jeffrey Kwatinetz and former Disney Studios head Rich Frank. (The company’s best known for producing Royal Pains for USA and Wilfred for FX.) The company also bought All My Children. The exclusive, multi-year deal will allow the soaps to continue beyond their finale dates. All My Children ends it run on ABC on Sept. 23 while One Life to Live is set to sunset in January. Prospect is still in the process of closing a deal for the actors with American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, which will enable the studio to sell a second window of One Life to Life to cable network. So who among the All My Children cast has agreed to stay with the show beyond its finale on ABC? No one, unfortunately: Susan Lucci is reportedly balking at the notion to go online, though Prospect offered a comparable deal to what she was earning on ABC. Should Prospect fail to close a deal with Lucci, it seems likely the company will table any plans to continue the sudser online — at least in the short term.
