The Acacia Strain are Recording a New Album

0

The Acacia Strain are heading out on the road later this fall with Chelsea Grin, Spite, Traitors and Left Behind, but they’ve been putting in some work at the woodshed before they go.

According to social media posts by both the band and guitarist Tom Smith, The Acacia Strain are currently in the recording studio laying down tracks for the follow up to their 2017 album Gravebloom. Neither post is particularly illuminating as to the sonic direction of the new album: the band overdubbed theirs with a Hall & Oates track and Smith’s footage comes from a song he says won’t be making the record (although he promises it’ll come out eventually). Still, The Acacia Strain have been very consistent in sound over the years, so we shouldn’t expect too many surprises, although that bottle of Olde English 800 might have other ideas.

Have a look below and expect a release date some time in the first half of 2020.
