Who is Sean White? Auburn's new starting quarterback is not a snowboarder

the two shawns

SEAN White (left) is different than SHAUN White (right). Don't confuse the two.

In a somewhat expected turn of events, Sean White just replaced the flagging Jeremy Johnson as Auburn's starting quarterback.

SEAN White, the quarterback, is distinct from SHAUN White, the half-pipe-slaying, Winter X-Games-winning, snowboard riding, long haired ginger guy that won a bunch of gold medals at the 2006 and 2010 winter Olympics.

SEAN White is a 6-0, 200 pound redshirt freshman at Auburn from Boca Raton, Florida where he was the starting quarterback for University School at Nova South, and passed for 2,679 yards and 30 touchdowns as a senior.

This man is very different from SHAUN White, red-haired man who made snowboarding cool again for at least two years, and was born in San Diego, California in 1986 with a congenital heart defect.

The SEAN White that is important to Auburn fans, today anyway, is the son of Leah and Don White and was the Under Armor All-American Game MVP and Elite 11 Camp MVP his senior year of high school.

Don't confuse this person with SHAUN White the guy with the shock of red hair you've seen in cameo appearances in the 2011 film Friends with Benefits and a 2013 episode of American Dad!

SHAUN White, who has a video game, Shaun White Snowboarding, named after him, spells his name the more traditional way that allows young children and dumb adults to sound-out its spelling and pronounce his name correctly.

SEAN White, the pre-business major and new starting quarterback at Auburn, on the other hand, spells his name in a way that likely resulted in him being called, "SEEN" on many occasions in his life.

It's important that you understand that Auburn's new starting quarterback, SEAN White, is not the same person as the red-headed snowboarder, Shaun White, of Winter X-Games fame.

Do not confuse the two.
