Leslie Nichole “Nikki” Durio

Leslie Nichole “Nikki” Durio passed away on July 14, 2018 at her residence. She was born on January 7, 1972 in Beaumont, TX to Bennie and Helen Roberts.

She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Kevin, and daughter Peyton both of Suwanee, GA, an her beloved Yorkie, Riley. Her mother Helen  and step-father Norman Conklin, Grandmother Hildegard Sherman all of Wheelersburg, OH; brother Eric Roberts and wife Vanessa; and brother Brian Roberts all of Las Vegas,  NV. Step-sister Barbara Cope of Richmond, VA, Step-brother Norman Conklin, Jr. of Darlington, SC, Step-brother Dale Conklin and wife Melissa of Wheelersburg, OH, Step-brother Alan Conklin and wife Tracy of Greenville, OH. Father-in-law Robert Durio; sister-in-law Rachel Durio both of Port Arthur, TX, brother-in-law Charles Morgan and wife Vicki of Port Neches, TX. Nieces and Nephews Erika, Ben, and Austin Roberts of Las Vegas, NV; Brian Morgan and wife Jessica of Nederland, TX; and Michelle Morgan of Groves, TX. Numerous great nieces and nephews.

Leslie was preceded in death by her father Bennie Roberts; grandfather Doyle Sherman, grandfather Gene Roberts, grandmother Ruby Myrick, step-grandmother Reba Roberts, Mother-in-Law Irma Durio, and sister-in-law Denise Morgan.

Leslie’s celebration of life under the direction of Flannigan Funeral Home at 4400 South Lee Street in Buford, GA 30518. They will host a visitation on Friday, from 6-8 pm with a Rosary recited at 7:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Sat, 7/21/2018, 11:00 am at St Monica’s Catholic Church, 1700 Buford Highway, Duluth, GA 30097 with Father Jack presiding.

Leslie’s nursing career included pediatrics, OG-GYN, surgery, disability medical review, as well as her current role as School Nurse at Burnette Elementary School in Suwanee, GA.

Leslie was a loving wife and devoted Mother. She took pride in being very engaged in all of her daughter’s activities including competitive and side-line cheer. Leslie was an enthusiastic supporter of North Gwinnett Cheer and Football.

Leslie enjoyed dance, shopping, music, sports, and trips to the beach. She treasured he family in TX, OH, and NV while building a strong extended family of good friends in GA. Leslie never met a stranger always seeing the best in everyone. Leslie was someone special touching everyone in ways that will never be forgotten.
