Kimberly's Maddy Schreiber is one of the top players for the Papermakers, the top-ranked team in the G10 composite girls basketball power rankings.

The G10 Power 10 is a composite ranking of top boys and girls basketball teams in the USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin coverage area that includes the Wausau Daily Herald, Marshfield News Herald, Wisconsin Rapids Tribune, Stevens Point Journal, Green Bay Press-Gazette, Appleton Post-Crescent, Oshkosh Northwestern, Fond du Lac Reporter, Sheboygan Press and Manitowoc Herald Times Reporter.

Boys basketball

1. Waupun (4-0): The Warriors haven't allowed an opponent to score more than 41 points this season. Last week: 1. Next: Friday vs. Campbellsport.

2. Kimberly (3-0): Papermakers defeated rival Kaukauna 85-64 last Friday and are in sole possession of first place in the Fox Valley Association. Last week: 2. Next: Tuesday at Hortonville.

3. Manitowoc Roncalli (4-0): Ian Behringer (14.8 ppg) and Matt Levene (12.2) having solid seasons in support of leading scorer Chombi Lambert (17.8). Last week: 4. Next: Tuesday at Fond du Lac Springs.

4. Kaukauna (3-1): Ghosts bounce back immediately from loss to Kimberly with 73-70 victory over Wauwatosa West on Saturday. Last week: 3. Next: Tuesday vs. Oshkosh North.

5. Sheboygan Lutheran (5-0): Crusaders knock off Howards Grove on Saturday in battle of unbeatens and face another undefeated Tuesday vs. Kohler. Last week: 6. Next: Tuesday vs. Kohler.

6. Green Bay Southwest (3-0): Trojans beat Sheboygan South 65-47 on Friday and have two key FRCC games this week against Ashwaybenon and Bay Port. Last week: 7. Next: Tuesday vs. Ashwaubenon.

7. Merrill (3-0): Bluejays move up a spot from last week after a 76-69 victory over Seymour on Saturday. Last week: 8. Next: Tuesday at Wausau West.

8. Appleton West (4-1): Terrors pummel Fond du Lac 89-58 and point guard Will Mahoney is averaging 26.7 points a contest. Last week: 9. Next: Tuesday vs. Neenah.

9. Marathon (3-0): The Red Raiders routed Newman Catholic 90-68 on Friday and are expected to contend with Auburndale and Stratford for the Marawood South title. Last week: 10. Next: Tuesday at Chippewa Falls McDonell.

10. Wrightstown (4-0): Tigers crack top 10 after impressive 75-62 victory over Brown Deer on Saturday. Last week: Not ranked. Next: Friday at Luxemburg-Casco.

2. Bay Port (4-0): Pirates, led by Emma Nagel (15.8 points per game), have Fox River Classic Conference showdown with undefeated De Pere on Tuesday. Last week: 2. Next: Tuesday vs. De Pere.

3. Laconia (6-0): Kiara Otto averaging 15.8 points per game for the Spartans. Vikings face Winnebago Lutheran (6-1) and North Fond du Lac (6-2) this week. Last week: 3. Next: Tuesday vs. Winnebago Lutheran.

4. Appleton North (4-1): Lightning quietly having solid start to season and are tied atop FVA with Kimberly. Last week: 4. Next: Tuesday vs. Appleton West.

5. Wrightstown (5-0): Tigers have three games in seven days, including showdown at Luxemburg-Casco on Dec. 18. Last week: 5. Next: Tuesday vs. Waupaca.

6. Howards Grove (7-0): Tigers move up two spots in rankings after pair of wins over two previously undefeated teams last week: Mishicot (50-39) and Oostburg (59-54). Last week: 8.  Next: Tuesday at at Sheboygan Christian.

7. De Pere (6-0): Redbirds looking to play the role of road warriors as they travel to Bay Port (Tuesday), Ashwaubenon (Friday) and Sheboygan South (Dec. 18) over the next week. Last week: 7. Next: Tuesday at Bay Port.
