The Romanian Radio National Orchestra perform Johannes Brahms's profoundly personal A German Requiem with soprano Cristina Grigoras, baritone Sandor Balla, and conductor Cristian Mandeal.
Brahms wrote his German Requiem between 1865 and 1868, after the deaths of his mother and his friend Robert Schumann. Brahms called it a "human requiem," using relatable German text instead of Latin.
