Three people dead after wrecks on Oklahoma roads

Three people died after wrecks along Oklahoma roads, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

John Provence, 36, Roff

About 6 a.m. Friday, Provence was driving a pickup west on a Pontotoc County road, about 4 miles south of Ada. The pickup left the road and rolled, troopers said.

Provence, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene, the patrol reported.

Macie L. Atchley, 35, Longdale

About 12:35 p.m. Thursday, Atchley was driving a vehicle south on State Highway 58, about 2 miles south of Longdale. Atchley was attempting to make a U-turn on the highway when the vehicle was struck by a pickup also traveling south on the highway, troopers said.

Atchley was taken to a hospital, where she died. The driver of the pickup, Charles E. Patocka, 59, of Hennessey, was taken to a hospital, treated for his injuries and released. Patocka wore a seat belt, the patrol reported.

Anna J. Teachman, 19, SeaTac, Washington

About 7:10 p.m. on July 8, Timothy M. Mullin, 57, of Cleveland, was driving a pickup east on State Highway 51, just outside of Mannford city limits. The pickup went left of center and struck a car traveling west on the highway, troopers said.

The driver of the car, Michael R. Teachman, 57, of SeaTac, Washington, was pronounced dead at the scene. Anna Teachman, a passenger in the car, was taken to a Tulsa hospital, where she died on July 12. Mullin was taken to a Tulsa hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Occupants of both vehicles wore seat belts, the patrol reported.
