Thanksgiving 2017: What's Open Near Danvers? Not Grocery Stores
Get your food shopping done on Wednesday, because Market Basket, Walmart, and Shaw's are closed for Thanksgiving.
DANVERS, MA — No matter how much you prepare and how many preparation "jobs" you share, there might be a last-minute purchase needed for your Thanksgiving dinner. If you're new to Massachusetts you might be shocked to find that there are few options when it comes to places to buy that last minute can of cranberry sauce.
Because of the state's "Blue Laws" restaurants, pharmacies, gas stations, and small food stores can open for Thanksgiving but chains can't. So make sure to get all your shopping done before Thanksgiving:
Here's a list of day before Thanksgiving hours for grocery chains. Some may vary.

CLOSED on Thanksgiving:
- Whole Foods: Hours for Lynnfield and Swampscot locations: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving. CLOSED on Thanksgiving.
- Trader Joes: All stores closed on Thanksgiving. (8 a.m. to 9 p.m. other days)
- Market Basket: Regular hours Wednesday, closed Thanksgiving.
- Costco: All stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. Open 9 a.m. on Black Friday. And open 9:30am - 7 pm Saturday.
- Walmart: Stores will be open regular hours Wednesday (7 a.m. to 10 p.m.), and then closed Thanksgiving Day: Stores reopen at 12 a.m. and stay open til 10 p.m.
- Target: Regular hours Wednesday (8 a.m. to 11 p.m.). Then Closed on Thanksgiving. Stores re-open at 6 a.m. on Black Friday and are open til 11 p.m.
- Danvers Fresh Marketplace: Closed on Thanksgiving, but open til 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
- Danvers Butchery: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (regular hours Wednesday, but closed Thanksgiving).

- The corner grocery store: 7-9 OPEN(1 Hobart St # 1, Danvers,)
- The Country Store: Open at 6 a.m. (79 Maple St, Danvers) Phone: (978) 774-3324
- Village Food Shop: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. ( 37 High St, Danvers)
- Walgreens and CVS will also be open.
