SNB’s Jordan Doesn’t See a Digital Currency Muscling Out the Franc

Swiss National Bank President Thomas Jordan doesn’t foresee digital currencies throwing a spanner in the works for policy making, though the technology underlying Bitcoin and its kin is powerful.

“These cryptocurrencies as we know them at the moment are more like assets, not really like currency,” Jordan said at a panel discussion in Davos, Switzerland, on Wednesday.
