Pflugerville ALDI To Stage Job Fair In Search Of Store Associates

PFLUGERVILLE, TEXAS — Officials at the ALDI grocery store chain will host a hiring event for its Pflugerville-area stores on Monday, Sept. 24.

Known for offering market-leading wages and health insurance, officials said in a press advisory, ALDI is one of the fastest growing retailers in the U.S., creating new opportunities for people locally and nationwide.

"ALDI is nationally recognized for its commitment to employees," officials wrote in a press advisory. To that end, the company offers generous wages and benefits that are higher than the national average for the retail industry, according to company officials.

In 2017, ALDI was named a National 2017 Top Workplace by Workplace Dynamics, which recognizes organizations with the highest employee engagement, officials noted. Additionally, ALDI appeared on the Forbes list of America’s Best Large Employers for the fourth consecutive year in 2018, they added.

ALDI recently announced a $3.4 billion investment to increase store count to 2,500 locations and create 25,000 jobs by 2022. ALDI officials are seeking to fill a number of store associates during the job fair scheduled on Monday, Sept. 24, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Store associates are paid $13.10 an hour. The event will take place at the Pfugerville store on 1415 FM 685 Rd.

Among the job requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older to apply.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Drug screening and background check.

• Must be available to work anytime between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m., Monday – Sunday.

• Retail experience preferred.

• Ability to lift 45 pounds.
