Career Center crowns prom royal court

MARIETTA — The Washington County Career Center held its 17th annual prom on April 7 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Churchtown.

The prom, which had its theme “City of Lights,” was attended by approximately 250 students along with chaperones and staff members.

Senior students crowned prom king and queen were Blaine Johnson of Warren High School, enrolled in the Welding program, and Allie Maynard of Marietta High School, enrolled in the Patient Health Care program. Prom prince and princess were Wyatt Lang of Waterford High School, enrolled in the Sports Medicine & Exercise Science program, and Sydney Benson of Warren High School, enrolled in the Health Information Technology program.

With the student council hosting the event, Career Center students have an opportunity to attend the Career Center prom as well as their home school prom.
