Arcade Fire’s Will Butler headlining Pop-Up Magazine’s Brooklyn show

Pop-Up Magazine is coming to Brooklyn on its Winter 2019 Issue tour.

The acclaimed live magazine will hit BAM’s Howard Gilman Opera House on Thursday, Feb. 7, it announced Tuesday.

Headlined by Arcade Fire’s Will Butler, the new issue will tackle such diverse topics as the conception of memory, explore the dating scene in the middle of nowhere and pay homage to the father of the electric guitar. Other contributors include journalist Jason Concepcion, author Rowan Jacobsen and filmmaker Sam Green, among others.

Founded in 2009, Pop-Up Magazine is a “live magazine, created for a stage, a screen and a live audience.“ Each show features multimedia stories, accompanied by an original score, that will only ever been seen live.

In addition to the live show at BAM, the tour will also take the magazine to Los Angeles, Oakland, Washington, D.C., Atlanta and Austin. Tickets are available through the Pop-Up Magazine website now.
