From Staff Reports

Four people are dead in crashes on Oklahoma roadways, the Oklahoma Highway patrol reports

Brandi G. Shoemake, 29, Stroud; Donald E. Fisher, 90, and Mary A. Fisher, 89, Broken Arrow

About 7:30 a.m. Monday, Shoemake was driving a pickup on State Highway 66, about 3 miles north of Bristow in Creek County, when it was involved in a crash with the Fishers' vehicle. What happened is under investigation, according to a patrol report.

All three died at the scene, troopers said. Only the Fishers were wearing seat belts.

Patrick Olin Wantland, 54, of Terlton

Wantland was pronounced dead at the scene about 6:45 p.m. on State Highway 48 just south of Taylor Road about 6 miles southeast of Terlton.

Wantland had stopped at a stoplight when a car driven by Caleb Dorsey, 31, of Mannford, struck Wantland's car from the rear. Wantland's car then hit a car stopped in front of him that was driven by Emory Lynn Herring Jr., 38, of Cleveland. Herring was taken to a Tulsa hospital, where he was admitted and treated for injuries, the patrol reports.

Dorsey was not injured.

Wantland wore a seat belt. The patrol did not report whether Dorsey or Herring wore seat belts.
