Star Wars writer hints at Lando Calrissian's return

We were very, very disappointed to find out Lando Calrissian wouldn't be re-joining the Star Wars cast for The Force Awakens.

Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian, right, and Nien Nunb, his Rebel co-pilot, at the controls of the Millennium Falcon in "Return of the Jedi."

But Lawrence Kasdan, the screenwriter of The Force Awakens, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, has some fantastic news for sad Lando fans.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Kasdan all-but-says that we can expect to see Lando sometime in the next three movies.

Are we ever going to see Lando Calrissian again in a Star Warsmovie?

Right now, there's no Lando Calrissian in this movie. But Lando I don't think is finished in any way, shape, or form.

Folks, that's as close to a confirmation as we're gonna get. Assuming Kasdan continues to work on Star Wars with J.J. Abrams, he'll play a vital role in deciding if and how Lando returns.

Is there a petition anywhere we can sign?

We hope to see you soon, Billy Dee.
