Downtown Denver’s 1515 Restaurant will host the James Beard Foundation’s Celebrity Chef Tour on Oct. 20. The 20-city tour celebrates the cuisine of more than 100 acclaimed chefs from across the country. Denver’s stop showcases four national chefs and three Colorado chefs who will prepare a seven-course dinner paired with wine and cocktails.

The chef lineup for Denver’s stop of the tour features Kevin Nashan of The Peacemaker and Sidney Street Cafe in St. Louis; Martin Rios of Restaurant Martín in Santa Fe; James Beard Award-winning pastry chef Mindy Segal of Mindy’s Hot Chocolate Restaurant and Dessert Bar in Chicago; and Stephen Fried of Gullo Specialty Foods, based in Hicksville, NY. In addition to the national chefs, local chefs Laurent Mechin of the St Julien Hotel & Spa in Boulder, Mark Monette of Flagstaff House in Boulder, and 1515’s chef-owner Gene Tang will make appearances, with Jeff Cleary of Grateful Bread Company providing breads for the dinner.

“We’re thrilled and honored to be chosen to the host this event,” said owner/executive chef Tang in a press release. “We’ve always been big supporters of the James Beard Foundation, and this is a wonderful opportunity  not only to cook with national and local talent, but to help support an organization that makes such a positive difference in the culinary community.”

The one-off dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail hour and passed canapés prepared by each chef. The sit-down dinner begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $115 per person for U.S. Bank FlexPerks Rewards Cardholders and $175 for the general public. Purchase advance tickets here.
