Semi spills scrap metal on Ohio 13 North
Lou WhitmireMANSFIELD - A semi driver lost control and spilled his load of scrap metal on Ohio 13, north of the city near Richland-Shale Road on Thursday about 11 a.m.
The driver was not seriously injured but the road was shut down temporarily, with one lane re-opening around 11:30 a.m.
Mansfield police Sgt. Jason Bammann said the driver involved was traveling south on North Main Street or Ohio 13. He lost control and tried to over-correct, causing the load to shift.
The driver from OmniSource, a local scrap-metal firm, planned to go to OhioHealth Mansfield to be checked out, having suffered minor injuries, Bammann said.
