Semi spills scrap metal on Ohio 13 North

MANSFIELD - A semi driver lost control and spilled his load of scrap metal on Ohio 13, north of the city near Richland-Shale Road on Thursday about 11 a.m. 

A truck carrying scrap metal overturned on Ohio Route 13 just south of Richland Shale Road on Thursday morning.

 

The driver was not seriously injured but the road was shut down temporarily, with one lane re-opening around 11:30 a.m.

Mansfield police Sgt. Jason Bammann said the driver involved was traveling south on North Main Street or Ohio 13. He lost control  and tried to over-correct, causing the load to shift.

An OmniSource semi driver Thursday morning lost his load of scrap metal on Ohio 13, north of Mansfield. No one was injured.

The driver from OmniSource, a local scrap-metal firm, planned to go to OhioHealth Mansfield to be checked out, having suffered minor injuries, Bammann said.
