HERNDON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--All Tennessee high schools are now eligible to send electronic transcript data of current or recent students among all 649 high schools, Tennessee’s higher education institutions, Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation (TSAC) for Tennessee Education Lottery Scholarship eligibility, by joining the new Tennessee Electronic Transcript Exchange. To date, 357 of the state’s 649 high schools have adopted the new service, according to the National Student Clearinghouse.
High schools and districts can sign up to join the free Tennessee Electronic Transcript Exchange at https://studentclearinghouse.info/tn/. To encourage participation, The Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC) and the Clearinghouse are bringing secondary and postsecondary institutions together on March 28 in Knoxville, March 29 in Nashville, and March 30 in Memphis. THEC selected the National Student Clearinghouse, the nation’s leader in education verifications and electronic education record exchanges, during a competitive process to create the Tennessee Electronic Transcript Exchange.

The Clearinghouse provides thousands of high schools and districts throughout the United States with continuing collegiate enrollment, progression, and completion statistics on their alumni. The Clearinghouse also serves as a single point of contact for the collection and timely exchange of accurate and comprehensive enrollment, degree, and certificate records on behalf of its more than 3,600 participating higher education institutions, which represent 98 percent of all students in public and private U.S. institutions.
