Calvary Lutheran hosts panel discussions

BEMIDJI - Calvary Lutheran Church will host two panel discussions with community leaders to hear more about their work and to discuss what role the faith community might have in supporting them. The public is invited to attend.

The discussions will be held at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, and 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, in Room 7 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 2508 Washington Ave. SE, Bemidji.

Each panel is expected to last about an hour, featuring four to five speakers. Participants over the two days will include representatives from Evergreen Youth and Family Services, Bemidji Area Schools, Bemidji Community Food Shelf, Boys and Girls Club of the Bemidji Area, Adult Day Services, the United Way of Bemidji Area and Northwest Minnesota Legal Services.

St. Ann's Fall Festival on Sept. 16

BLACKDUCK-The St. Ann's Fall Festival will be held 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at the church hall. They will be serving at pork loin dinner, dressing, mashed potatoes with gravy, vegetables, buns, homemade pie and beverage. Cost is $10 for adults; $5 for children ages 6 to 12 and younger children are free. There also will be crafts, baked goods and produce and a cake walk. The raffle drawing also will be held at the festival.

Sacred Heart Church hosts chicken ham dinner

WILTON-Sacred Heart Church will host its 82nd annual chicken and ham dinner bazaar, bake sale and silent auction from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 16. The cost is $11 for adults 13 and older, $5 for children 6-12, and free for children under 6. Sacred Heart Church is located at 135 Third St.

First Presbyterian plans meal Sept. 17

BLACKDUCK-The First Presbyterian Church of Blackduck will hold its first community meal of the fall season on Monday, Sept. 17, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. This free meal is open to everyone in the community.

Fall fashions at Christian Women's event

BEMIDJI-The latest fall fashions from Christopher & Banks with Michele and local models will be shown at the Christian Women's fall luncheon meeting 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17 at the Bemidji Eagles Club main Community Room. Special speaker will be Delores Langseth from Harvey, N.D., who will talk about her message of "From Darkness to Light." Trinity Free Lutheran Ham Dinner

WILTON-Trinity Free Lutheran Church, 6 miles north of U.S. Highway 2 on state Highway 89, will hold its annual Ham Supper from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22. There will be a freewill offering.

Immanuel Lutheran Church to host ham dinner

CASS LAKE-The Cass Lake Immanuel Lutheran Church will host a baked ham dinner with homemade potato salad, baked beans, dessert, and beverages from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23. Feast of Tabernacles at Mount Zion

BEMIDJI-Mount Zion Church and Becida Community Church of Bemidji invite everyone to a special time of worship, celebration and ministry during the Feast of Tabernacles, Friday, Sept. 28, and Saturday, Sept. 29.

On Friday evening and all day Saturday there will be a "Feast of Faith, Food, and Fellowship" at Mount Zion Church, 414 Lincoln Ave. SE in the Nymore neighborhood of Bemidji.

Guest speakers are Chuck Porta of Ram's Horn Ministries and Calvin Woods of Harvest Praise International. Main sessions are 7 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday. On Saturday afternoon, there also will be several breakout sessions including "Prophetic Mysteries of the Feasts" with Reggie Kelly and outreach training by Revive Minnesota. KELLIHER-Our Savior's Lutheran Church annual Fall Festival in Kelliher is set for 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29. Garden produce, baked goods, jams and jellies, lefse and flea market

BEMIDJI-The 16th annual Meatball Dinner and silent auction at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bemidji will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7.

The menu will be meatballs with all the trimmings, including squash and pie. Cost is $10 for adults; $5 for children ages 6 and older and free from children age 5 and younger.
