LEVY COUNTY — A 21-year-old Morriston woman died Sunday morning following a head-on crash on U.S. Highway 41 near County Road 322, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Catarina Matom Raymundo was pronounced dead by responders from Levy County Fire Rescue following the 6:30 a.m. crash, the release states.

The release states Raymundo was a passenger in a 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander driven north on U.S Highway 41 by Pedro Ponciano DePaz, 25, of Morriston, when a Ford F-350 flatbed driven south on the same road by Jesse Aviles,19, also of Morriston, "partially crossed into the northbound lane causing a head-on collision" at U.S. Highway 41 and Southeast 3rd Street.
