Jersey Shore Festival 2017 Kicks Off Summer In Seaside Heights

SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NJ — Summer temperatures. Summer music. Summer fun. And you don't even have to wait for Memorial Day weekend, thanks to the Jersey Shore Festival this weekend in Seaside Heights.

The music and arts festival begins Friday, May 19 (that's today) and runs through Sunday and will include performances by more than 300 artists, organizers said. Admission is free and the festival will go on even if rain shows up this weekend, organizers said.

This year the festival event also includes music industry seminars; one-on-one mentoring sessions with nusic industry VIPs; motocross stunt shows; BMX and skating demonstrations; MiniMoto GP demonstrations, and free monster truck rides on the beach.

There will be free yoga and tai chi on the beach, and on Saturday, check out the Pros vs. Heroes Charity Flag Football Game and the NFL Play60 clinics hosted by the Toms River Police Department.

There will be food trucks, vendors and much more. Some of the participating venues include Captain Hook's Bar; EJ's Tap House; Aztec Bar; Jimbo's Bar and Grill, and Riggers.
