Dreamville’s leading lady Ari Lennox gives fans her candied new single “Whipped Cream.” Listen to her new song above.

Over the weekend, the Pho crooner teased the track on her social media with some ice cream cone emojis, hinting at the song’s illusion to sugary treats.

The song debuted on Zane Lowe Beats 1 World Radio, and was produced by fellow Dreamville signee, producer Elite. It’s the singer’s first release since her debut 2016 EP Pho, and arrives nearly three years after she signed to J. Cole’s label. In 2017, she joined Cole as an opener during his 4 Your Eyez Only tour.

In the sultry new track, Lennox pines over her old flame, showcasing her vocals over a groovy, laid-back melody. Peep some of the song's lyrics below:

I've been in my feels, I've been stackin' bills

Even though it's been two years since Pho came out, Lennox revealed that this track is about the same boo she was singing about back then. “‘Whipped Cream’ is my little baby that expresses how I feel about an ex that I’m still not over. He’s the same n***a that I talked about in PHO,” she said.

“Whipped Cream” is available on iTunes and Spotify now. Stream the new song here.
