Three-vehicle crash leaves one in critical condition, shuts down road in Pittsfield Township

April 29 crash on East Ellsworth in Pittsfield Township

One person was critically injured in a three-vehicle crash that occurred on East Ellsworth, west of Carpenter, in Pittsfield Township about 12:15 p.m. on April 29.

PITTSFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI -- Two people were hospitalized after a three-vehicle crash on East Ellsworth Road on Monday, April 29, according to Huron Valley Ambulance spokesman Matt Rose.

One crash victim was left in critical condition and the other stable, Rose said.

Police shut down East Ellsworth Road in Pittsfield Township about 12:15 p.m.

The crash occurred west of Carpenter Road, near US 23 and Interstate 94, and involved a black Chevrolet Impala, a blue Toyota Acura and an SUV.

Washtenaw County Sheriff’s deputies were investigating the crash, but hadn’t, as of 2 p.m. provided further information.
