James Gandolfini Dead: ‘Sopranos’ Actor Was In Love With Edie Falco, Television Wife, While Married To Deborah Lin

James Gandolfini, the "Sopranos" actor who died of a massive heart attack in Italy on Wednesday, admitted in an interview last year that he was in love with Edie Falco, who played his wife Carmela on the show, even though he was married to actress Deborah Lin.

"I'm still in love with Edie. Of course, I love my wife, but I'm in love with Edie," James Gandolfini said in the interview with Vanity Fair.

"I don't know if I'm in love with Carmela or Edie or both. I'm in love with her."

But James Gandolfini wasn't the only "Sopranos" star who caught feelings on the show.

Falco also admitted that she had feelings for James Gandolfini and that six seasons on the "Sopranos" brought the two together.

"It was weird to sit down at a table and read with the actresses playing Tony's girlfriends. Occasionally I would get a sharp twinge at the back of my neck," Falco told Vanity Fair.

"Even years later, I remember when I saw Jim in 'God of Carnage' on Broadway, and he was Marcia Gay Harden's husband, and I had this 'How come I have to be OK with this?' kind of feeling."

James Gandolfini married Lin, known for her role in "Red Shoe Diaries," in 2008 - they had their wedding in Hawaii.

Lin never publically commented on James Gandolfini's relationship with Falco.

The New Jersey-bred actor leaves behind his wife and two children.
