  • HOU Relief Pitcher #71
On top of allowing four runs, this outing came in a non-save situation, so fantasy managers who roster Hader have the right to be doubly perturbed by how the southpaw pitched. Some of the damage occurred after the 30-year-old exited the game, but to say he was deserving of a poor result is an understatement. Hader should be fine, but fantasy managers will need a load of scoreless innings in order to make up for this one.
  • CWS Center Fielder #28
Pham will get $3 million if/when he reaches the majors, and he can earn another $1.5 million in incentives. if the 36-year-old isn’t called up to the White Sox by April 25, he can opt-out of the contract and hit free agency again. Last year, Pham slashed .256/.328/.446 with 16 homers and 22 steals while splitting time with the Diamondbacks and Reds.
  • SD Center Fielder #3
Merrill served as San Diego’s primary offensive catalyst in this one, extending their lead to a commanding three-run margin with a two-run single off Brewers starter Joe Ross in the fifth inning as part of a three-hit effort. The 20-year-old top prospect has gotten off to a sublime start this season, batting .356 (21-for-59) with 12 runs scored, one homer, seven RBI and three steals across 19 games.
  • MIL Center Fielder #11
Chourio singled and stole a base in the opening frame before extending Milwaukee’s early lead with a second-inning blast to left field off Padres starter Joe Musgrove. It was his third round-tripper of the season. The dynamic 20-year-old top prospect hasn’t exactly set the league on fire in his first taste of the majors, but he’s shown some flashes of immense five-category superstar potential with three homers and three steals in his first 13 contests.
  • MIA Second Baseman #3
The Marlins are now 3-14. which is their worst start through 17 games of the regular season in franchise history. On the bright side, Arraez appeared to find his offensive ways against San Francisco’s pitching. It’s his fourth multi-hit game this season and he’s hitting .347 in the month of April after he struggled in the first four games of the season in March when he went 2-for-18. The 27-year-old is a hitting machine, but as of right now, that’s all fantasy managers are getting from the reigning batting champion with how poor the Marlins’ offense has been to start the season.
  • KC Starting Pitcher #42
Lugo had little trouble carving up Chicago’s lineup in this one, allowing just five total baserunners and needing only 99 pitches (64 strikes) to navigate seven frames. He finished with four strikeouts and only issued one walk. The 34-year-old veteran righty isn’t posting gaudy strikeout totals, but he’s been effective so far in his Royals debut. He’ll carry a microscopic 1.05 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 13/6 K/BB ratio across 25 2/3 innings (four starts) into a tough home matchup on Sunday against the Orioles.
  • OAK Center Fielder #1
Ruiz replaces JD Davis on the roster, as Davis was placed on the 10-day injured list with his groin injury. Ruiz was somewhat infamously optioned to Triple-A by Oakland early in the season, and the 25-year-old will likely get a chance to play on a relatively consistent basis. He can help in the steals category for sure. Anything else is far from a gaurantee.
  • BAL Shortstop #2
From the broadcast, it looked like Henderson’s homer reached Eutaw Street, so the reigning AL Rookie of the Year may have another plaque coming soon. The 22-year-old has racked up at least one RBI in four of his past five games and has multiple hits in back-to-back contests.
  • LAA Center Fielder #27
Trout continues to scorch the baseball in the early part of the season, and his two-run homer is already the seventh of the season. He’s also slashing .290/.362/.610, and he looks like the same player — without the speed — that made him a perennial MVP candidate. Fun to see.
  • PHI Starting Pitcher #27
Nola looked much better in a game that didn’t have terrible weather. His fastball averaged about 92 MPH, which was up 1.4 MPH from his first three starts. Seven of his eight punch outs came on the curveball. The 30-year-old also made history becoming just the 4th Phillies pitcher to have 1,600 or more career strikeouts. Nola and J.T. Realmuto said last week that the weather was a factor during the pitcher’s outings and after tonight’s performance, Nola is back on track.
