Gary Vaynerchuk owned agency, Vaynermedia, launches APAC office

VaynerMedia has finally opened an office in Singapore after talking about the possibility for many years.

The full-service agency, spearheaded by its bombastic CEO Gary Vaynerchuk, will be “the next big thing on the Singapore marketing scene” – according to a company spokesperson talking to Mumbrella.

Bombastic internet marketing entrepreneur, Gary Vaynerchuck has opened a Singapore office

The Singapore office at WeWork in Funan Center will act as the Asia-Pacific headquarters for the company and the number of staff will be in double digits by the end of the year, having already launched “with a few Vayner veterans” – it has been claimed.

South Asia is said to be the initial focus for the agency, but the company will not be going after business in China.

“VaynerMedia has supported or executed work for global brands in Asia, and many of our clients have offices in the Singapore area.

“VaynerMedia is pursuing expansion into Asia based on years of client demand. We’re fortunate to work with a number of large, international brands, who have expressed a consistent need for a global marketing partner. This advantage ensures that we’ll launch in Asia with a roster of trusted clients, brands who we already understand deeply. “

Referencing the global business – which has offices in New York, Los Angeles and London and is staffed by a team of hundreds – the spokesperson added: “Today, VaynerMedia supports a variety of global brands; many of them clamouring for a single agency partner to support their needs across the world.

“We are fortunate to work with brands across industries; Mondelez International, Anheuser Busch, SAP, WeWork, Coach, and more.

“VaynerMedia has 100 plus active clients; who come to us for our fresh thinking and ability to drive business outcomes through innovative marketing strategies.

“We approach advertising through the vantage point of culture; focusing our efforts on platforms where users are paying attention, always anchoring our creative in empathy.”

When questioned on what was unique about the agency and what it would bring to the market that does not exist currently here, the spokesperson said: “Unlike other agencies, the trend is our friend.

“We embrace the latest and greatest in digital marketing; we have deep relationships with technology and media partners, especially those in the social media space.

“We are a leading agency partner for Google, where we are one of the 10 agencies selected as Google marketing platform partners; we work extremely closely with Facebook’s leadership, where we are Facebook blueprint certified; our CMO serves on the Pinterest advisory board, and we were the first company to test SnapChat’s API.

“This means that we will bring the latest media, measurement, and social best practices to the Asian market. With our signature focus on attention, culture and empathy, VaynerMedia is uniquely positioned to support our clients’ Asian marketing efforts, acting as stewards of their brand.

“Our signature focus on utmost transparency also affords us unparalleled client visibility into performance, media costs and actual working dollar investment; highly unusual in the APAC market.”

As to the services the agency will offer, the ambitions have been listed as media buying, planning and consulting as well as strategy, creative and e-commerce.

“At our New York HQ; VaynerMedia offers a variety of marketing disciplines, all under one roof,” the spokesperson told Mumbrella.

“While we plan to initially launch VaynerMedia’s Singapore offices with media services, our ambition is to bring analytics, creative, strategy, media, e-commerce, influencer, production, experiential and more to our Singapore offering, as we grow.”
