The Magic City Classic is about a month away and tailgating spots at the Classic will be available to purchase online Thursday.
Spots will be available online at 12:01 p.m. Central time Thursday, Sept. 19. About 800 total spots are available. Of those 800 spots, 560 will be available to purchase online. Around 240 spots will be available to purchase the week of the event, city officials said.
Each tailgating spot is 20 feet by 40 feet.
Cost depends on which day tailgaters want to set up.
Monday entry: $210
Tuesday entry: $175
Wednesday entry: $140
At the Magic City Classic, Alabama State University and Alabama A&M University compete for a potential spot in the Southwestern Athletic Conference Championship.
Game tickets are available to purchase online. General admission tickets are $25. Reserved seat tickets cost $35.
The game will be held at Legion Field on Saturday, Oct. 26. Kickoff is at 2:30 p.m.
Shaquille O’Neal will be the ambassador for the 2019 Magic City Classic. As the ambassador, Shaq will be the grand marshal of the Magic City Classic parade and be honored during halftime.
The ticket to the game includes a performance by 2 Chainz, who will perform afterward.
Coca-Cola and McDonald’s are the presenting sponsors of the game.
