Need to dance and rock out to early ’00s emo and pop punk? Then Emo Night Brooklyn may well be the traveling party for you, where creators Alex Badanes and Ethan Maccoby spin music from the not-too-distant past, sometimes joined by guest DJ icons from the emo and punk scenes, such as Ryan Key of Yellowcard, William Beckett of The Academy Is, Jordan Pundik of New Found Glory and others. But really, this one is all about, as the event organizers’ motto puts it, “Scream. Dance. Rage. Repeat.”
